Alert: Your Group Health Insurance is in Danger

Does the title of this post alarm you? If so, you may already know that your group health insurance is in danger. If not, you may now be thinking twice about your company and whether or not they will continue to offer benefits. Why are more and more companies deciding that group health insurance is a waste of money? Most companies don't want to get rid of this benefit but have to due to a variety of issues. For instance, rising costs of group health insurance, as well as medical coverage, have forced companies to abandon there policy. In turn everybody is affected, including you, the employee.

Is there anyway to save your group health insurance if you think it is in danger? Unfortunately, the answer is no. You are not in charge of making this decision, and the only thing you can do is hope that your company realizes how important this is to employees. If you think that you are going to lose coverage you may want to speak with your HR department. They may be able to give you some insight, even if the details are only basic.

There is nothing wrong with being scared that you may lose group health insurance coverage. In fact, if you are not worried there is probably something wrong. If you think you are going to be without group coverage soon enough you should consider you other options for obtaining a policy. You can buy an individual policy, or maybe your spouse can add you to his or her plan.
