Are you worried about the Election, Health Care?
When it comes to health insurance, there are two groups of people. There are those who have good coverage and do not care what is going on as long as things will stay the same for them. And then there are those who are very concerned because their coverage is not as good as it could be. The latter group is most definitely interested in the upcoming presidential election because each candidate has expressed that they will change the current landscape of the health insurance industry.
The best way to get in on the action is to learn what each candidate is proposing and then vote accordingly. At this point, the race for the Democratic nomination is just heating up. Both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama feel that they have the inside track to the White House. On the Republican side, John McCain has locked up the bid. With this information, you can take a strong look at what all three of these candidates think, and then base your decision on which one would best help you from a health insurance point of view.
Even if you have good health insurance, you should still be concerned with the way that things will change in the years to come. There are more than 47 million uninsured Americans, and this number is growing. You may not care about this right now, but you never know when your situation is going to change.
No matter who you are, you should have an interest in the 2008 presidential election and how it will affect both health insurance and health care. It is important that the next president takes all of the steps necessary to decrease the number of Americans who are currently living with no health insurance coverage. If you are registered to vote, you can make a difference this time around!
