Future Health Insurance Success
Many people feel that the next president of the United States is responsible for fixing the health insurance industry. While it is true that this man or woman will have to work on this, it is safe to say that they will not be alone. After all, it is going to take cooperation from health insurance companies, as well as many others, in order to get this problem fixed.
At this time, the main issue surrounding health insurance is that too many do not have coverage. What does too many mean? Approximately 47 million Americans have no sort of health insurance coverage. Until this number is drastically reduced, there is no way of saying that the problem has been fixed.
Senator Hillary Clinton has a plan for taking this number from 47 million to zero. The way that she plans to do this, if elected president, is to implement a universal health care plan. This means that everybody in the country will receive health insurance. While this looks good on paper, it is obvious that there are many drawbacks and issues with this. The infrastructure alone would take quite some time to get into place.
John McCain is in favor of tax credits to help ease the burden of those who purchase individual health insurance. This may help, but is it going to make people who don't have coverage buy? Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing until this type of plan is put into place. Many people feel that just because health insurance is more affordable does not mean that the uninsured will buy coverage.
The success of the health insurance industry as the country moves forward is going to be determined largely on the decisions made by the next president. One thing has been made clear: something will be changed in the near future. If you are worried about the future of the country, you need to keep an eye on the health insurance changes that will be taking place soon enough.
