Monthly Cash Flow Calculator

A monthly cash flow calculator allows you to determine your income and expenses. In turn, you can see if you are living within your means or spending more than you earn.

If you know your monthly income and expenses, it is quite simple to use this calculator. It will be useful to have your check book handy before using the monthly cash flow calculator. This will ensure that you input accurate information.

Income

Regular Income - Enter you monthly income. If you are married, enter the combined total.
Other Income - Enter additional income that you generate from a second job, royalties, etc.

Expenses

Rent or Mortgage - Enter your monthly rent or mortgage cost.
Car Payment - Enter your monthly car payment, if you have one. If you lease, include this value here.
College loans - If you pay college loans, enter the value here.
Other loans - Include monthly payments on miscellaneous items such as a boat, second home, etc.
Insurance - Enter the amount of money that you spend each month on insurance policies including health, car, life, etc.
Groceries - Enter the amount that you spend on groceries.
Eating Out - Enter the amount of money you spend eating out each month. This includes vending machine purchases.
Gasoline - Enter the amount you spend on gas for your car(s).
Electricity - Enter your monthly electric bill.
Gas - Enter your monthly natural gas bill.
Water/Sewer - Enter your monthly water bill.
Telephone - Enter your local and long distance bill here.
Clothing - Enter the amount you spend on clothes.
Habits - Enter the value you spend on habits such as the lottery, casino gambling, smoking, etc.
Cable TV - Enter the amount you spend on cable or dish television.
Cellular phone or beeper - Enter your cell phone bill here.
Entertainment - Enter you average expenses for entertainment including movies, the internet, nights on the town, etc.
Medical - Enter the amount you spend on co-pays, prescriptions, and other medical expenses.
Other - Enter any other expense that you incur on a monthly basis.
