Determining your current net worth can be done easily by calculating your assets and liabilities. Use the following calculator for assistance.

Assets - What you own

Home - Enter the estimated market value of your home. Do not worry about your current mortgage payoff.
Cars - Enter the total sum of the Blue Book value for each vehicle you own. Do not worry about the current payoff amounts.
Other vehicles - Enter the value of any other vehicle that you own. This can include a boat, motorcycle, RV, etc.
Jewelry - Enter the estimated value of any jewelry that you own.
Special items - Cameras, computers, etc. Enter the amount you could get if you sold the items today.
Furniture and household items. Estimate the total value of your furniture, electronics, appliances, etc.
Checking and savings accounts - Total the current balance of your checking and savings accounts.
Retirement accounts - Total the current value of your retirement accounts including 401k, IRA, etc.
Savings bonds - Enter the current value of any savings bonds that you may have stocked away.
Mutual funds - Enter the value of any mutual funds that you own.
Stocks - Enter the value of any stock that you own.
Life insurance - Enter the current cash value of any life insurance policies.
Other - Enter any other miscellaneous items that may hold a high value.

Liabilities - What you owe

Mortgage principle - Enter the amount of money that you currently owe on your mortgage. If you are unsure, call your lender.
Car Loans - Enter the amount that you owe on any car loan. If you are unsure, call your lender.
College Loans - Enter the amount that you owe on any college loans.
Other Loans - Enter the amount owed on any other miscellaneous loans, including private loans.
Credit card debt - Enter the balance due on all of your credit cards.
