Tips for Paying for Health Insurance
If your company pays 100 percent of your health insurance premium you should consider yourself lucky. In today's day and age this is not nearly as common as it used to be. For those who are in charge of paying their own premium, the actual process of gathering funds each month can be quite difficult.
First off, are you on a group policy from your employer but responsible for a certain percentage? If so, your employer should be able to take this directly out of your paycheck. This makes it pretty easy to get coverage for you and quite possibly your family.
On the other hand, if you are buying an individual health insurance policy you are responsible for actually paying the bill. This means that you not only have to save money each month for this expense, but you must also remember to send in the payment. While this sounds easy enough, until you are used to it you may forget from time to time.
Although it is not fun to have to pay for your own health insurance, it is necessary. Get on a payment schedule so that you are used to this expense every month. Pretty soon you will be happy with your policy, and feeling good about the future.
